Dear VZ Families,

Welcome to a brand new school year! I am honored and excited to welcome both returning and new families to the J. Harold Van Zant School community. It is truly a privilege to serve as your principal, and I look forward to partnering with each of you as we begin a year of learning, growth, and unforgettable experiences.

Our mission is to empower each student socially, academically, and emotionally while fostering a strong sense of belonging for every member of our school community.

By working in partnership with our dedicated staff, supportive families, and community members, we strive to provide every student with a strong educational foundation that encourages them to achieve their unique potential, become lifelong learners, make responsible decisions, solve problems creatively and collaboratively, and respect themselves and others as contributing members of a diverse, global society.
